India Post is the world’s largest postal service network and due to its expansive serviceable area the last mile delivery to Tier II and Tier III cities has now received a major boost.
Growing at 33 per cent, the e-commerce sector is expected to touch $76 billion by 2021 and the delivery/logistics sector constitutes approximately 12 per cent of this share.
Fueled by the surging E-commerce industry, the $50 billion Indian logistics sector saw a growth of about 80 per cent, making it the fifth-best performing major industry in India last year.
India Post is set to tap into this market as E-commerce firms seek out more customers and expand into smaller cities.
In recent times, American Swan has bagged awards in five diverse categories at the prestigious Asia Retail Congress 2014 being declared the ‘Retail launch site of the year'.
